Dover Pediatrics was established in 1948 as a privately owned pediatric group. Since then, Dover Pediatrics has had the pleasure of providing pediatric healthcare to generations of families in our surrounding communities. We are now a certified Patient Centered Medical Home with board-certified pediatricians, nurse practitioners and pediatric-trained medical and administrative staff. Dover Pediatrics is affiliated with Wentworth Douglass Hospital. Our referral hospitals include Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and Maine Medical Center.
The physicians of Dover Pediatrics believe in and follow the immunization recommendations and guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) committee’s on Immunization Practices. The CDC and AAP work together to develop and study immunization schedules. Dover Pediatrics is available to see our patients for well child care and sick visits. If your child is ill and needs to be seen urgently, we provide same-day sick visits. The practice stays open until the last scheduled sick child has been seen. This sometimes requires extended evening hours. The providers are also available for sick visits during weekends. We prefer that our patients who need urgent care obtain the care from us if at all possible and not an emergency room or an area urgent care center.
Our clinical staff is well-trained in telephone advice and available Monday through Friday to answer your questions and/or concerns or to set up a sick visit with your child if needed. If we are unable to see you during regular office hours, you will be offered an after-hours sick visit appointment. Our answering service is available when the office closes and a professional clinical advice line is utilized between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
If you believe your child is having a medical emergency, please proceed to the Emergency Department at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
Our behavioral health clinician/care coordinator is available to work with families requiring support and referral services, and/or advocacy for their chronically ill child.
Our lactation consultant services are available during regular office hours by appointment or by telephone.
